| Success Strategies for Creative Souls #81: What's Next for You? |

Fall is often a time of new beginnings and adventures.
What are you ready to explore with your creative soul
this season? We talked last month about things not
working out and what needed to be released and/or
transformed. Hopefully many of you have taken action
in those areas and made some shifts by now. When
it's time, try to put together the clues of a new vision for
yourself. Even if you don't have the whole picture, see
if you can identify the essence of what you want to
create.
I have a client now who is burned out and
bored but not clear on what's the right next step. I
aksed her to describe the feeling she wants to get,
and she can say, "I need to be intellectually charged
up over something. I want to care and be curious and
roll up my sleeves and dig in." So I have her keeping
an Excitement List for a month to see what really
sparks her adrenalin.
I have another client who just had a group of writing
projects rejected and she is feeling dejected. She
wants to give up, but I am encouraging her to take a
broad view of her projects and see which one calls to
her the most. It is a project on supporting the leaders
of health care organizations. We are brainstorming
new markets and a different format and thinking of
marketing approaches that would be more fun
and collaborative for her. She is getting psyched again
about her target.
Still a third client is debating whether or not he still
wants to be a solo entrepreneur. He has a web
business which sells design products and sales are
sluggish and he feels like everything is a lot of work
and reaping few results for his efforts. The idea of
working with another company or under someone
else's umbrella is appealing now, so he is exploring
some options.
So if you are ready for something new and different
and invigorating for yourself, its' time to get some new
perspectives and guidance and begin again!
