END OF THE YEAR CHALLENGE
**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+**+
Welcome to all of our new subscribers again this month! Today is
the
beginning of 2002. Take some time today to do the following:
1) Write on a piece of paper all of the things you have either
completed
this past year or Subtracted from your life for good, i.e., a job
you
hated, clothes that don't fit, or being too critical of yourself,
and
burn the paper
2) Write down and acknowledge all of the Positive Additions that
you've
added to your life this year, i.e. new friends, creative hobbies,
or
Weight Watchers, and commit to enjoying them more this coming year
3) Write down 5 things you want to create in your life in 2002
and post
them on your computer or someplace where you can see them clearly
EVERY
DAY. Write at the bottom of the list what kind of support you need
to
manifest these goals.

POSITIVE CHOICES STEP SEVEN: V IS FOR VISUALIZATION
Visualization is a powerful tool in the change process. Visualization
gives you a dress rehearsal of the new life that you envision for
yourself. It allows you to practice being in your desired state.
It also
dynamites away your limiting beliefs so you can take the actions
required for building a life of Positive Choices for your body,
mind,
and spirit. By creating movies in your mind, you cancel out your
fears
and increase your receptivity to the steps of manifestation. It
also
allows you to try on your vision of Positive Choices to make sure
it
fits. If it doesn't, you are free to change it and focus on the
right
images for you. I have used visualization for years and continue
to be
astounded at its magical powers of illumination and intentionality
and
encourage my clients to use this technique as well.
This month, I want you to meet a new friend of mine, Margie Levine,
who
is the author of a wonderful new book, Surviving Cancer (Broadway
Books,
New York, 2001). This book is not just a book for cancer patients,
but a
guide to healing and healthy living. I recommend it highly and I
could
not put it down once I started it. With a background in health
education, Margie is also an expert on visualization and recommends
this
technique as part of her 41 steps of healing. As a child, Margie
visualized having the longest list of name associations to the letters
in Happy Birthday so she could win the prize at the party. Later,
she
used visualization to picture herself getting her first teaching
job,
reduce her back pain, and see her Cape house renovations completed.
When she developed a deadly lung cancer, she was intuitively guided
to
make her own personal visualization tape to help herself heal her
body.
She advises people to make a tape using their own voice with a selection
of favorite music as well as prayers, literary excerpts, motivational
sayings, and even the voices of loved ones to make your tape uniquely
meaningful. Margie tells people to include many adjectives and a
rich
description of details to make the images as vivid as possible.
Even
though her cancer is now in remission, Margie still uses a tape
daily to
manage pain, support her health, and imagine being in Oprah's energy
field on the Oprah show, talking about her book. Margie also uses
personal visualization tapes to facilitate forgiveness by picturing
the
other person's face and a dialogue. You can make your own tape to
help
you to manifest your goals this new year and increase your likelihood
of
making them a reality. Visualization re-programs your psychic energy
to
support your dreams and longings. It truly works, as the research
will
attest to.

EXCITING NEW RESOURCES
Want to understand male-female dynamics at work with new insights?
Read
Deborah Swiss's new book The Male Mind at Work: A Woman's Guide
to
Working with Men (Perseus, 2000). I sat next to Deborah recently
at a
book signing in Lexington, MA and found both her and her book
fascinating. We have a lot to learn from the men she interviewed.
I often recommend a book called Making a Living without a Job by
Barbara
Winter to my clients. She teaches people how to develop multiple
profit
centers and have the freedom to work on your own. Barbara has a
wonderful newsletter called Winning Ways: Turning Passions into
Profits,
which is loaded with creative ideas and insights for creating a
life you
want. She is very much in synch with the Positive Choices philosophy
and
her newsletter will both delight and inspire you. It is well worth
the
$33.00 annual subscription fee. You can subscribe by going to her
website which is www.barbarawinter.com.
