Creativity Creed for 2005-2006
The goal of this exercise is to help you to develop a creativity
creed, similar to a personal mission statement or an artist’s
statement. Using these questions as a guide, you can then write a paragraph
or a one page statement that reflects your creative purpose and goals for this year.
1) What are you called to create and what’s your attraction?
2) What is your personal creative process and style of working?
What facilitates joy in your work and what detracts from it?
3) What comes easily for you as a creator and what do you struggle
with?
4) Where are you in the creative cycle of birth, death, and rebirth?
5) What kinds of specific supports do you need so that you can make significant progress this year?
6) What is the larger meaning in your work?
7) How does your work impact your personal prosperity?
8) What are your goals for April 21--National Creativity Day--2005 until 4/21/06?
